| WHAT'S
INVOLVED? |
|
A minority of people often criticise bands
for charging too much. A few bands have been discussing this
lately. Often these people don't know what
is involved in gigging. Take a typical gig
in London: 4 men going to London will take 7.5 hours
going, 7.5 hours back, 6 hours at the
venue. Total 17 hours per man = 84 hours. Supplying
the sound system, background music,
security, fuel etc. It's not just 2 hours of
music provided, it's a whole days work and
every Irish/Celtic band goes through the
same hard work for you. A good
wedding band will charge more than any
Irish/Celtic band based in Scotland. |
